The mission of the WLD Foundation is to improve the diversity of healthcare leadership. We believe that by developing and promoting highly qualified people of diverse backgrounds into executive healthcare leadership, we give a voice to underrepresented communities in the meetings, discussions and decisions that have large scale and lasting effects on their health and health outcomes.
The WLD Foundation operationalizes this vision by pairing aspiring healthcare
leaders from underrepresented backgrounds with mentors in healthcare organizations that align to their career aspirations.

Through mentoring and professional development opportunities,
mentees of the WLD Foundation have the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and tools essential to becoming successful future influential healthcare leaders. The Foundation will also host career and professional workshops including resume reviews, networking forums, mock
interviews, panels on navigating the healthcare industry as a minority and introductions to potential employers that will help the mentees build their careers.
